Terms of Service
SketchPath is published by Chenglin Wu, operating under the brand name "SketchPath". These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SketchPath ("the app", "we", "our"). By downloading or using SketchPath you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The Service
SketchPath is an iOS app that teaches drawing through bite-sized lessons, daily practice prompts, and a personal portfolio. Level 1 is free for everyone. Level 2 and higher premium lessons require either an active subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase, as described below.
We provide the app "as is" and reserve the right to add, modify, or discontinue features at any time.
2. Purchase Options
2.1 Plans
SketchPath offers three paid plans through the App Store. Monthly and Annual are auto-renewable subscriptions. Lifetime is a one-time non-consumable purchase that does not renew.
- Monthly: auto-renewable subscription billed every month.
- Annual: auto-renewable subscription billed once a year.
- Lifetime: one-time payment that unlocks Level 2 and higher premium lessons for the lifetime of the app on your Apple ID.
Current pricing is shown in the app's paywall and on the App Store listing. Prices may differ by region and can change.
2.2 Free trial
Monthly and Annual plans include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your selected plan begins at the regular price. The Lifetime plan does not include a free trial.
2.3 Auto-renewal
Monthly and Annual subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Renewal is billed by Apple to your Apple ID. Lifetime purchases are charged once and never renew.
2.4 How to cancel
To cancel an auto-renewable subscription, open iOS Settings, tap your Apple ID, choose Subscriptions, then select SketchPath. Cancellation prevents the next renewal; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
2.5 Refunds
All refund requests are handled by Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. SketchPath cannot process refunds directly.
2.6 Restoring purchases
If you reinstall the app or use a new Apple device signed in to the same Apple ID, tap "Restore purchases" in the paywall to reactivate your subscription or Lifetime entitlement.
3. Accounts
SketchPath does not require an account. Your progress and portfolio are stored locally on your device. We do not collect usernames, passwords, email addresses, or login credentials.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to reverse engineer the app except where permitted by law, copy or redistribute the lesson content, use the app in a way that violates applicable law, or attempt to bypass the subscription paywall.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Our content
All lesson text, instructional imagery, app interface, code, branding, and curriculum design are owned by SketchPath and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app and its content for your own learning, subject to these Terms and paid access requirements.
5.2 Your content
Drawings you create using techniques taught in SketchPath remain your own work. Photos you save to your portfolio remain your own property. SketchPath claims no ownership of, and does not access or transmit, your portfolio images.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any reference photos you choose to import.
6. Privacy
Our handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the app you also accept that policy.
7. Third-Party Services
The app uses Apple App Store and In-App Purchase for distribution and payments, and RevenueCat for subscription state management. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties beyond our contractual relationships with them.
8. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device or iOS version, or that you will achieve any particular skill level by using the app.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SketchPath and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any direct damages will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you materially violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it.
11. Governing Law and Consumer Rights
Subject to the mandatory consumer-protection law of the country in which you reside, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights granted to you by the law of your country of residence. If a provision conflicts with such a right, that right prevails to the minimum extent necessary.
We do not designate a specific court for disputes. The parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute by emailing moz1131125@gmail.com and discussing in good faith for at least 30 days before initiating formal proceedings.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
